By Tara Daniels

Most parents ask friends or family for advice about their children, but in some instances it is more helpful to seek out advice from people online instead. Although strangers, these people can often end up being the best source of advice you can find. The delivery method of said advice might be in a comical manner as well. It's always healthy to laugh a little, which is one of the reasons funny parenting blogs are popular sources of both entertainment and education.

The number of parent themed blogs is in the thousands, you just have to actively look for them. With a search engine you can quickly locate many different choices. With a little further searching you can easily narrow those results down to hundreds of options for humorous sites on the same subject matter.

These funny blogs are often about general parenting topics, but some can cater to a very specific group. Teenage mothers, premature babies and special needs children are all popular topics. Even the worst of situations are often best dealt with by using a little humor. For example, blogs about children with food allergies may not seem like something to joke about. However, a clever writer can find a way to make you laugh while still taking in to account how serious a food allergy can be.

The people in your everyday life can be a wealth of knowledge about good blogs to read. Just try asking some of your friends if they might have any suggestions. In return, if you stumble across any good finds yourself you should also share them with friends. A stressed and tired parent can always benefit from a good laugh.

The biggest majority of these blogs are written by moms, but if you look a little harder you can find some of them written by dads too. A different perspective can usually be read from a dad in most situations. Their difference in perspective can sometimes be the better advice for your unique situation when all else has failed.

A reader will not find every site they encounter to be entertaining, but you will probably find a few articles on every site they you do enjoy. Differences in opinions can cause readers to not reader a particular bloggers posts, but there are still plenty more sites out there to view. Just keep on looking until you find something that fits your particular approach to raising children.

If you've read through a particular site and it just isn't for you, look to see if that blogger has a blog roll on their site somewhere. Bloggers are a tight knit community and support each other by advertising other blogs on their own sites. These are usually on the same subject as their own blog. That next link you click might be the right one.

Funny parenting blogs are a great place to find information and advice on many different parenting related subjects. Some of them can also be good sources of entertainment when what you really needed was a good laugh. No matter your reason for reading, you will still probably learn a few new things along the way.
