Gender Neutral Baby Bedding And Baby Boy Bedding Sets

By Darren Hartley

A nursery that works for either a boy or a girl must be designed by parents who have no plans of knowing the gender of their baby before its actual arrival. After picking up a theme and color palette for the nursery, they can proceed to the choosing of furniture and accessories, inclusive of gender neutral baby bedding, to match the chosen theme and color palette.

Cohesiveness and completeness are the objectives for the selection of a nursery theme. For a surprising gender neutral baby bedding, animals, sea life and the alphabet are good theme choices. The gender neutral baby bedding that best fits the chosen theme are then selected.

Another alternative in theme selection is anchoring in around a color. For gender neutral nurseries, the best colors are yellow, gray or green. Parents can also choose shades of red or orange should they want to give the nursery a bolder look. The gender neutral baby bedding should then be in the shade of the chosen color.

Choosing the right baby boy bedding sets, should the baby come out to be a boy, will keep the baby safe and comfortable in his nursery. Parents have the additional responsible of making sure their child is neither too hot or too cold when taking his nap in his crib as a baby does not have the ability to regulate his body temperature.

The ideal room temperature for a baby is between 16C and 20C. Any temperature higher than this should find a male baby in baby boy bedding sets that include a cotton sleep suit or a cotton vest. Any temperature lower should find a baby in cotton flannel sheets, on top of which is another sheet and a cotton cellular blanket layer.

Pillows, quilts or duvets must not be part of the baby boy bedding sets of male babies less than a year old. Uncovered is how their heads must stay at all times. As to the placement of the baby in a cot, the rule of thumb is the feet to foot placement, i.e., the feet of the baby must be at the foot of the cot.
