You may have glass vases, candles, flowers, ribbon, and risers all used in one item. By looking at each piece as a separate component, you can determine what goes into making it.

Think about the stores in your area where you might find these components that you need inexpensively. Check out dollar stores for tons of glasses and vases. You can find great shapes and styles for only one dollar each. If your pieces has candles, you can usually find these at the dollar store as well.

Since you will be making several pieces in order to have enough for each table, look into quantity discounts. You can also try dollar type stores. You will be able to find things like vases and glasses for only a dollar. You can use these as the base for your creations.

Work systematically one step at a time to mentally deconstruct the centerpiece you wish to make. Start at the base or center and work your way out. You begin putting your piece together by working from the center or bottom and working upward and outward.

Take your time working on your shower centerpieces. The going may be slow on the first one or two. This is normal. As you put more of them together, it will become easier and you will be able to work faster. Be sure begin far enough in advance to allow yourself enough to time to finish without causing yourself stress.
